About the Role
Are you fascinated by the intersection of Financial Markets and Artificial Intelligence? We are looking for a Quantitative Research Intern with a “builder” mindset to help us explore the frontier of autonomous trading.
This isn’t a typical data-cleaning internship. You will be at the heart of our R&D efforts, investigating how Large Language Models (LLMs), Reinforcement Learning (RL), and Multi-Agent Systems can be applied to build intelligent trading agents. Your goal is to help design agents that don’t just execute trades, but actively monitor, reason, and adapt to changing market conditions.
What You’ll Do
- Agent Development: Research and prototype Autonomous Trading Agents capable of monitoring live strategies and identifying regime shifts.
- AI Integration: Explore the application of AI (Generative AI, RL, or Neural Networks) to optimize signal generation, order execution, and risk management.
- Bot Monitoring Logic: Build intelligent “watchdog” frameworks that use AI to detect anomalies in trading bot behavior or strategy decay.
- Backtesting & Validation: Test AI-driven hypotheses against historical tick data to ensure robustness and prevent overfitting.
- Collaborative Research: Work closely with senior Quants to translate theoretical AI papers into practical trading tools and frameworks.
You’ll Excel in This Role If You
- Trading Mindset: A genuine passion for financial markets and an understanding of trading fundamentals (order books, liquidity, and risk).
- AI/ML Fluency: Strong foundation in Machine Learning and a keen interest in the latest AI developments (e.g., Agentic workflows, Transformers, or RL).
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to work with large, messy datasets (tick data) and extract meaningful, actionable insights.
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical field.
