Role Summary
The Associate Analyst (AA) is an entry-level role responsible for configuring and testing Alight’s proprietary Total Benefit Administration™ (TBA) system to meet client requirements. The role focuses on system configuration, SQL/code-based data extraction, testing, documentation, and production support within global delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and test Alight’s Total Benefit Administration™ (TBA) system using proprietary tools.
- Develop, configure, and test codes, SQL, and SAS scripts to extract data from system tables and parameters as per analysis specifications.
- Execute unit testing and self-code testing activities under guidance from SBTS / Analyst Programmer.
- Identify test cases, prepare unit test plans, and document configurations within analysis specifications.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and fix intermediate system defects identified during testing or production support.
- Support and monitor automated production jobs, address failures, and ensure smooth execution.
- Maintain strong documentation, task tracking, and proactive status updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in SDT huddles, shared services support, quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with global teams via email, MS Teams, and other communication channels.
- Adhere to organizational policies, data privacy standards, and code of conduct.

Job Description
- Strong logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and system testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance best practices.
- Exposure to automation testing principles (desirable).
- Working knowledge of relational database concepts including tables, keys, SQL and DB2 queries.
- Ability to write intermediate-level SQL queries and SAS code.
- Capability to analyze, debug, and resolve intermediate system defects.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership.

Supervision & Independence
- Works under consultation with Analyst Programmer / LPA / LPAA / CTM.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent analytical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include B.Tech (any specialization), BCA, or MCA.
- Entry-level AAs normally come from the external source, primarily through campus recruiting.
- Experienced AAs candidates may bring prior system implementation and testing experience from technology organizations.
Additional Information
- May require flexible working hours to support global/offshore teams.
- Mobility across India locations may be required based on team alignment and meetings.
- Participation in training programs, business routines, and office/offsite activities is expected.
