Company & Role Summary

As a Graduate Engineering Technician at Micron Technology’s state-of-the-art semiconductor facility in Gujarat, you will support site automation systems, automated material handling systems (AMHS), and robotics. Working closely with automation engineers, facilities teams, and IT/MES groups, this role maintains high equipment uptime, executes project commissioning, and performs root-cause troubleshooting on critical material movement hardware and software platforms.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Automation Execution & System Support

  • Hardware & Systems Maintenance: Support site automation equipment including Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Autonomous Mobile Robots (ARV), conveyors, lifts, and material tracking tools.
  • Field Installation & Commissioning: Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system buyoffs, and First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) pilots.

Troubleshooting & Preventive Maintenance

  • Root-Cause Analysis: Diagnose operational failures across mechanical systems, sensors, servo drives, PLCs, and vision systems impacting automated material transport.
  • Reliability Engineering: Perform preventive maintenance, execute corrective action plans, and monitor system health to optimize facility uptime and throughput.
  • Process Enhancement: Collaborate with engineering teams to explore process upgrades, including AI-enabled and agentic solutions for operational optimization.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Technical Documentation: Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance checklists, and as-built system schematics.
  • EHS & Safety Adherence: Ensure all field activities strictly comply with semiconductor cleanroom safety and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of practical experience in industrial automation, robotics, or mechatronics maintenance.
  • Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with servo drives, PLCs, controllers, industrial robots, sensors, vision systems, conveyors, and mechanical lifts.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated capability in systematic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications & Domain Skills

  • Educational Qualification: B.Tech or Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
