The Risk & Brand Protection group operates within Deloitte’s Internal Firm Services division. This team directly supports global Deloitte member firms, ensuring that engagement teams, leadership, pre-hires, and their immediate family members strictly comply with independence regulations set by US regulatory bodies such as the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board), and AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants).

Independence & Conflict Verification

• Financial Relationship Reviews: Review equity holdings, mutual funds, insurance policies, loans, and other financial instruments held by Deloitte professionals and immediate family members for independence compliance.
• Pre-Hire & Partner Screening: Assist in pre-hire compliance screenings and evaluate potential conflict of interest scenarios across business proposals and client engagements.
• Entity & Client Master Data: Validate quality, integrity, and completeness of client data and related parties across Deloitte’s global independence databases.

Risk Escalation & Best Practices

• Policy Exception Management: Apply understanding of firm independence policies to identify, document, escalate, and resolve compliance non-conformance.

Education & Experience

  • Equivalent master’s/postgraduate degree in a finance-related discipline.
• Experience Range: 0 to 3 years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, quality control, or finance support functions.

Required Technical Skills

• Sound foundational knowledge of financial instruments (equities, mutual funds, corporate bonds, insurance, derivatives, personal loans).
• Practical proficiency in MS Office (Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
