The Software Systems Engineer – DevOps position is based at HPE’s key R&D facility in Bengaluru (560048). Situated within the HPE Datacenter Networking business group, engineers in this entry-level (TCP_02) role build cloud-native backend microservices, automate distributed systems infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deploy Kubernetes container orchestration, and engineer next-generation telemetry, observability, and AI Agentic automation pipelines (using tools like LangChain, Copilots, and Datadog).

• Cloud-Native Software Development: Write clean, modular, and testable backend code using Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++ for datacenter networking tools and microservices.
• DevOps & Infrastructure Automation: Design and deploy automated infrastructure pipelines using Ansible, Helm, or Terraform to manage virtualized and containerized datacenter environments.
• Container Orchestration & Virtualization: Manage and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure software including Kubernetes, KVM, OpenStack, Docker, or VMware.
• Observability & Telemetry Engineering: Instrument applications with logging, metrics, and tracing frameworks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Signoz) to optimize software debuggability and performance.
• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Develop automated unit/integration test suites and integrate them into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• AI Agent & AIOps Innovation: Explore and leverage modern AI agentic frameworks (LangChain, FastAPI) and MLOps tools to build self-healing, automated infrastructure workflows.

Academic Background

• Degree: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines.

Experience Level

• 0 to 2 Years of hands-on software development or DevOps experience (demonstrated through industrial internships, co-ops, open-source contributions, or academic capstone projects).

Mandatory Technical Competencies

• Programming Skills: Proficiency in writing high-quality code in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
