As a Web Accessibility Engineer in Hyderabad, you will work alongside senior engineers, product designers, and web developers to evaluate, debug, and remediate customer- and employee-facing web applications, ensuring compliance with global accessibility standards (such as WCAG and ARIA).

Key Responsibilities & Daily Operations

  • Accessibility Auditing & Evaluations: Perform manual and automated web accessibility evaluations across internal and external web applications using established testing methodologies.
  • Code Debugging & Remediation: Use browser developer tools to inspect and trace web accessibility barriers in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, providing actionable code remediation guidance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, UX/UI design, and product management teams throughout the product lifecycle to embed accessibility from the ground up.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Clear and concise documentation of technical findings, bug reports, and step-by-step remediation suggestions for development teams.
  • Tooling & Standard Development: Assist in maintaining Apple IS&T’s internal accessibility testing frameworks, documentation, guidelines, and training materials.

Minimum Eligibility & Qualification Criteria

Academic Background

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills

  • Web Technology Foundations: Strong foundational understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
