The CloudOps Intern position in Chennai is designed for final-year engineering students eager to build a career in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, DevOps, and site reliability engineering (SRE). Working alongside senior CloudOps engineers, the intern will assist in monitoring multi-cloud environments, managing patch updates across Windows/Linux servers, executing basic automation scripts, and supporting virtualized infrastructure (VMware).

• Cloud & Infrastructure Operations: Assist in routine monitoring, system health checks, and day-to-day operations across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid environments.
• OS Maintenance & Patching: Support system patch management activities across Windows Server and Linux distributions (CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Virtualization & VMware Support: Perform VM health checks, maintain VM snapshots, and assist with basic virtual machine maintenance tasks.
• Endpoint & Systems Security: Support the installation, configuration, and monitoring of Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) security tools and antivirus software.
• Operational Automation: Help author and maintain basic operational automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for routine administrative tasks.
• ITSM & Ticket Management: Log, track, update, and escalate system incidents and operational requests using enterprise ITSM ticketing systems while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Academic Criteria

• Education: Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Core Technical Knowledge

• Operating Systems: Fundamentals of Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu / CentOS) systems administration.
• Cloud Computing: Basic awareness of foundational cloud concepts (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

Preferred / Desirable Skills (Bonus)

• Scripting: Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
