The Engineering – AI & Data group within the Technology & Transformation (T&T) practice builds scalable, high-performance software systems. In this role, Performance Testing Senior Analysts partner with product engineering teams to establish non-functional requirements (NFRs), execute load/stress testing pipelines, diagnose system bottlenecks, and ensure core banking platforms maintain high availability and low latency under peak transaction volumes.

Performance Test Engineering & Execution

• NFR Gathering: Collaborate with Product Owners and architects to define performance baselines and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
• Scripting & Test Execution: Design end-to-end automated performance test scripts using Apache JMeter, HP/Micro Focus LoadRunner, LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE), or NeoLoad.
• Protocol Scripting: Configure scripts handling SAP, Web, GUI, AJAX, or TruClient protocols.

Analysis & Bottleneck Remediation

• Application Monitoring: Utilize observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace to track server health, CPU/memory usage, thread dumps, and database query latencies during execution.
• Reporting & Defect Management: Log performance bugs, generate detailed test summary reports, highlight architectural bottlenecks, and work with engineering leads on remediation.
• Banking Domain Integration: Apply core banking transaction flow knowledge to test payment gateways, core banking APIs, and financial message protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of dedicated experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
• Testing Tools: Proficient in at least one key tool: LoadRunner, JMeter, NeoLoad, or OATS.
• Protocol Expertise: Hands-on experience with Web (HTTP/HTML) and at least one complex protocol (SAP, GUI, AJAX, or TruClient).
• Database & Scripting Basics: Practical knowledge of SQL queries alongside basic programming skills in Java, Python, or C/C++ for script parameterization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking Domain Experience: Direct exposure to banking systems, financial transaction processing, or payment APIs.
• APM & Logging Tools: Hands-on experience with Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Cloud Environments: Experience executing performance tests against AWS, Azure, or private cloud environments.

Estimated Compensation Expectations

For a Performance Testing Senior Analyst (1–3 years experience) at Deloitte India:

• Estimated Salary Range: ₹7,50,000 to ₹12,50,000 INR per annum, subject to prior experience, tool certifications, and technical interview performance.
