Team & Business Unit Overview

The HPE Datacenter Networking team builds software programs for Cloud Native products, distributed systems, and datacenter infrastructure.

In this role, entry-level engineers design, develop, test, and debug software for networking utilities, databases, and internet-related infrastructure tools. The team focuses on creating resilient, observable, and automated systems using containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-driven automation tools (AI Agents and Co-pilots).

Role Summary & Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Infrastructure Automation

  • Core Development: Write high-quality software using Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++ to enhance datacenter networking features and utilities.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Deploy and manage virtualized environments using tools such as Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
  • API Integration: Design and implement REST and gRPC-based APIs for cloud-native software components.

CI/CD, Testing & Observability

  • Pipeline Automation: Write code and automated test cases, integrating them into continuous execution CI/CD pipelines.
  • Observability Implementation: Integrate monitoring and observability concepts using OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Signoz, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Debugging & Maintenance: Debug complex distributed systems and develop an understanding of software-hardware interactions under mentor guidance.

AI Integration & Innovation

  • Agentic Frameworks: Leverage AI Agents and Co-pilots to automate internal workflows, testing, and UI/UX monitoring.
